Our history

LJ arquitectura was founded in 2008 by architect Ludwig Jiménez, graduated from Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey ITESM Guadalajara in 2005.

A personal interest in spacial richness, landscape integrity, urban planning and sustainable behavior drove him to Barcelona Spain for a Masters degree in Renewable Energies from the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya UPC, where the interaction with energy researchers, software developers, and overall very motivated architects formed the beginning of this firm.

While in Barcelona he worked at Pich-Aguilera Architectes office collaborating with a wide variety of designing projects and putting in practice most of his believes and learnings. These projects went from grand luxury hotels, vertical condominium Towers, to Educational and Sports Facilities and residential units.

But his construction experience came from way before that. A family design and construction firm, Aquaviva Pools, specialized in luxury pools have giving him the opportunity to develop projects from the design stage untill completion delivering high quality products at all time.

Aquaviva Pools has proven being a leader in the Puerto Vallarta and Bahía de Banderas area for more than 42 years, experience that serves as a solid foundation for LJ arquitectura.
